The Inform Prize is an annual event funded by Intelligent Plant. It is contested by University of Aberdeen 3rd year Computer Science students, getting up on stage to present their group projects to industry.
In previous years, students had to battle it out for one prize. This year however, students had the chance to win prizes from three different categories:
The Grow Prize - Best Idea
The Enhance Prize - Best Implementation
The Inform Prize - Best Presentation
This year's Inform Prize was held in the heart of Aberdeen at the OGV Podium. Six teams went head to head to get their hands on the trophies and prize money.
Team Alpha - 'Cook Today'
Cook Today is a mobile-based application that helps people make their everyday meal decisions while making cooking fun and enjoyable.
Team Bravo - 'Bumpr'

Team Echo - 'Munchpal'

Team Foxtrot - 'Squad up'

Team Golf - 'Meep'

Team Hotel - 'Calensnap'

Those in attendance got to meet the teams beforehand and see the apps in action before the presentations began.
The teams had each prepared a video presentation which gave the audience an insight into their apps worked and the benefits that they could bring to users. The teams then had to answer some challenging questions from the judges before the winners were decided.
In the end, the three prizes were won by three different teams.
Inform Prize - Team Bravo (Bumpr)
Enhance Prize - Team Hotel (Calensnap)
Grow Prize - Team Alpha (Cook Today)

A big thank you to everyone involved that helped make the event a success.
We'll see you next year!
